As a Linux System Administrator, you are a Linux expert who conquers the most intense challenges of providing unique solutions for our customers. You’ll solve issues by utilizing your creative techniques to ensure Fanatical® troubleshooting and advice, which also means you’ll be a key partner in building relationships with customers as you update them of each step along the way.
Job Responsibilities 
In this role you will:
  • Work with bleeding-edge technology in the cloud and dedicated computing space
  • Install, configure, update and troubleshoot services for customers such as OS level concerns, web server, database server, applications server, and mail
  • Teach customers to self-solve while advising on technical issues
  • Collaborate with fellow system administrators and support team members
  • Provide excellent customer service and Fanatical Support® in all interactions



Required Qualifications: 
  • The position is based in Mexico City. Must be willing to work day shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Thorough knowledge of the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP/Python/Perl) / LEMP (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, and PHP/Python/Perl) stack
  • Fundamental knowledge of server/computer hardware and software; includes troubleshooting Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Postfix, FTP, SSH and DNS
  • Inherent problem-solver with desire to learn and take on responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Technical certifications including Red Hat, UCP, CompTIA and/or MySQL
  • Excellent knowledge of Apache, MySQL, network fundamentals, DNS and Shell scripting 
  • Cloud computing and web hosting industry experience
