Overview & Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build and drive mindshare and broad use of Rackspace Managed Security (RMS) services in the US. In collaboration with the Rackspace core sales teams, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. You will interact with our new acquisition and established install base customers and help them adopt RMS to strengthen their Cyber security defenses. You will possess customer-facing skills that allow you to represent RMS well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk management. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. You will enjoy working with customers of all shapes and sizes. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building security solutions for a diverse and challenging set of customers whether they are large or small. Your ability to connect technology with measurable business value will be critical.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • As a key member of the business development and growth team, ensure success in discussing how to incorporate RMS services into the customer’s cyber defenses and articulate service value.
  • In collaboration with the core sales teams, drive RMS revenue growth across a broad set of customers.
  • Educate customers of all size on the value proposition of RMS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
  • Work with direct sales and service delivery teams to identify RMS opportunities and drive pipeline
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer commercial and technical skills to sellers (internal) and customers (external) about RMS services.
  • Participate in thought leadership activities and marketing events to drive leads and opportunities for RMS.
  • Build relationships with senior security individuals within customer accounts to enable them to be “Security advocates”.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales, service engineering teams, support, product and leadership.


  • 6+ years of experience selling technical products, software, or SaaS in a B2B environment, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
