Overview & Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides financial consultation services across strategically-significant global accounts, including pricing support, refining deal business cases (ROI, TCO), deal qualification, solution development, and deal approvals. Requires a singular focus on accelerating revenue potential and maximizing profitability.



  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:  Basic technical knowledge of financial systems modeling (Excel), forecasting, and analysis processes.  Basic understanding of overall financial function and interrelated components.  Strong understanding of product valuation and pricing analysis.  Ability to create forecasting models.  High attention to detail and be capable of performing complex data analysis for extended periods of time.  Advanced Excel skills.  Ability to express quantitative concepts to non-financial audience. Must be an information sharer, and work well across functional departments.  Strong communications skills: verbal,  interpersonal and presentation.  Strong organizational skills.  Ability to make decisions in a thoughtful and analytical manner - identifying options and potential issues and determining the best course of action.  Solid planning, analytical and time-management skills.  Basic knowledge of sales principles and proposal development.  Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.  Ability to proactively identify and address potential roadblocks and mitigate risk.  Ability to drive consensus in teams. Results-driven.  Ability to comfortably operate in ambiguity.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY:  Drives and supports continuous pricing process refinement and improvement by applying a solid understanding of internal business processes and policies.  Understands complex business issues and makes appropriate recommendations by applying intermediate subject matter expertise.  Provide special pricing support, including deal consulting, qualification, solution development and approval.  Analyze competitive pricing and profitability dynamics for all large volume sales opportunities.  Assist in the development and implementation of margin improvement initiatives.  Collaborate with Field Sales, Service, Marketing, Finance and Operations staff in order to ensure completeness and consistency of proposals.  Manage / drive business unit pricing approvals and escalations.  Produces moderately to highly complex pricing deliverables, analyses and reports to multiple solution offering combinations, making recommendations and/or decisions for common approaches.  Work together with senior financial strategist rep to conduct standard TCO’s, churn risk analysis, creating TCO white-papers.  Help to maintain and improve TCO / pricing tools to minimize interactions between Finance and Sales, reduce wasted cycles and lapses in knowledge.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

0 - 2 years professional experience in pricing, financial, economic and/or business analysis.

Experience in economics and/or statistics desired.
