Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Microsoft Practice Manager to be based in our Singapore or Hong Kong location. This role will own the regional execution of the Microsoft global alliance strategy and lead the growth of Rackspace’s Microsoft-centric service offering in Azure and Office 365 across Asia.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Acts as Business Architect for Alliance Programs and initiatives working with the global Rackspace “Fanatical Support for Azure and Office 365” team to agree on joint go-to-market Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Engage and manage Microsoft ASEAN at the local executive level and with the Azure and O365 teams, while acting as educator and facilitator for Microsoft locally. Responsible for maintaining a highly positive relationship between both parties.
  • Drive lead flow from Microsoft to Rackspace and take overall responsibility and accountability for the regional FAZURE revenue target.
  • Oversees multiple initiatives spanning the strategic alliance relationship. Identify new strategic alliance initiatives
  • Removes barriers, and aligns Microsoft and Rackspace objectives in our Azure and O365 offerings to maximise revenue through the partnership.

  • Acts as an Operational lead for the Rackspace Asia “Fanatical Support for Azure and Office 365” team by working closely with Onboarding, Service Delivery and Engineering.
  • Oversee the management and monitoring of Support SLA’s to drive customer growth and retention. This will require you to be actively involved in creating positive customer experiences proactively and reactively to deliver Fanatical Support.
  • Plan, project Manage, develop, build and present the Quarterly Business Review both internally and to Microsoft senior stakeholders.
  • Identify education opportunities from Microsoft and its partners, to ensure the knowledge and capabilities of the Rackspace staff remain relevant and grow.
  • Engage with wider Rackspace Microsoft team on a regular basis to feedback regional requirements, discuss new regional initiatives and ultimately ensure a high-level of visibility for the Asia region to the global team.
  • Uncover and develop any new and novel product opportunities relevant for the Asia region and work with the relevant Rackspace teams to develop those offerings to fruition.
  • Establish and drive stronger engagement between peer teams at Rackspace and Microsoft.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Proven, successful direct and indirect quota bearing sales track-record with a good understanding of the Sales, Marketing and Operational Strategies.
  • Ability to liaise up to Exec Suite levels within the Microsoft, Rackspace and the wider Microsoft Partner community.
  • Knowledge of IT hosting/ Cloud Managed Service and related service industry with good overall understanding of Cloud and IT infrastructures within a corporate environment
  • Ability to develop strategic vision and business plans
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • The ability to perform strategically, taking both a high-level view and a hands-on approach when required
  • Experience with managing overall stakeholder satisfaction across multiple teams
  • Experience in driving operational change within stakeholder organisations
  • Understanding of operational behaviours of medium to enterprise organisations. Speed of change, adoption strategies roadblocks

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree required or 8+ years’ equivalent and relevant commercial experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with sales, business and technical savvy.
  • Candidate must have outstanding communication skills (presentation/verbal and written) as well as organizational skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment and have proven success in customer resolution/satisfaction and complex problem-solving.
  • Achieve and maintain a prospect and proposal pipeline sufficient to meet or exceed sales revenue objectives.
  • Proven track-record of delivering against a challenging KPI set including a target revenue number.
  • Strategic thinker, capable of developing and supporting the implementation of new business plans
