Responsible for technical readiness of higher-complexity projects, including technical planning on multiple projects. Overall technical representation in core teams. Responsible for managing resolution of technical issues. Accountable for delivery of multiple projects and complex cross functional technical projects.

 

  • Requires expert technical knowledge in multiple areas (IT industry, general technologies, product development, business operations, etc). Provide strategy and planning support to projects and product lines. Strong understanding of business as it relates to the Hosting industry. Able to evaluate technologies and determine where they fit inside Rackspace. Expert knowledge of product development life cycle. Own development of new test and alternative test methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Strategic - medium level contributor to overall strategy. Tactical - medium contribution. Executes multiple projects.
  • Moderate level of latitude and decision making expected. Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Typically a minimum of 4-7 years related experience (technology and/or operations). BS in technology or business preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Considerable levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required
