    Overview & Responsibilities

    We are looking to add a new part time member to our team to assist in the accounting and analysis for various departments under the Accounting Organization as the departments see necessary.  This organization includes general ledger accounting, payroll, revenue accounting, revenue operations, tax, reporting and internal controls.   This individual will assist in various duties that would could include, reconciliations, journal entries, schedule preparations, process mapping, control review and/or assessment, payroll process, payroll tax research, and variance analysis.  The position would assist teams with projects, staff vacancies, maternity/paternity/vacation leaves, and temporary increases in work load.  This position will report into the Senior Accounting Director.

    Staff Accountant job could include duties such as:

    • Prepare and record journal entries timely and accurately, according to GAAP.
    • Complete account reconciliations and SOX controls timely and accurately.
    • Actively review related processes and procedures for improvement and collaborating with other impacted teams to implement.
    • Assist GL teams implementing new changes to Oracle
    • Perform monthly/quarterly close activities, including account analysis, variance explanations, and PBCs for the SEC, and Tax teams, as well as external auditors.
    • Payroll processes or validation, tax research or assistance in implementation of system changes
    • Assist Internal Controls processes, information gathering, documentation
    • Position requires work beyond a standard 8 hours day during the financial close and other occasions as necessary, potentially including weekends and holidays.


    Ideal Candidate will have the following:

    • Self starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and the flexibility in filling different roles in different departments as the teams require.
    • Good working knowledge and understanding of accounting processes and required documentation
    • Intermediate experience with Excel.
    • Knowledge and experience in working with Subledger and General Ledger systems, Oracle a plus.
    • Basic Knowledge of GAAP.
    • Good time management, communication, decision-making, analytical and organizational skills.
    • Enjoys interacting and collaborating with team members and business partners.
    • Detail-oriented with an ability to critically analyze financial data and prepare reports.
    • Accounting or Finance degree required
    • Requires 4 plus years of related corporate or public accounting experience.
    • Consistently demonstrates the ability to provide Fanatical Support to internal business partners.

    Work up to 25 hours per week on consistent workday schedule.
