  • Overview & Responsibilities

    As an Inside Sales Rep you will opportunities directly for the sales team specifically through online chat (10%), emails (10%), outbound phone calls (50%), LinkedIn campaigns (10%) events (10%) and other activities (10%), working closely with our APAC and International Sales teams.


    In this position, we will train you on our internal processes, the cloud computing industry, Rackspace multiple Cloud products and services and how to sell competitively while delivering high-quality, qualified opportunities yielding the company's growth objectives. This is an entrance role to Rackspace which provides great insight into Rackspace’s sales and operational processes.


    The diversified daily tasks, ongoing trainings and assessments help the individual to build up commercial understanding for more experienced roles in Rackspace in either Sales or Technical Pre-Sales in preparation for their career path within Rackspace







    1. Handle lead generation opportunities through outbound phone calls, email, and chat.
    2. Qualify and pass opportunities to the appropriate sales segment
    3. Meet and exceed targets in the shape of a monthly opportunities quota
    4. Respond to customer queries via live chat, email and phone calls
    5. Proactively identify and generate leads through outbound phone calls, events and tradeshows
    6. Researches market segments to identify potential customers and makes first contact
    7. Manage quality and quantity of overall deliverables (KPI’s etc) throughout qualification process
    8. Generate revenue from transactional sales activities including Email & Collaboration and single-tenant products
    9. Proactively assist quota-bearing reps in direct sales activities to achieve team revenue target

    1. Meet quality standards through the achievement of conversion rate
    2. Meet monthly opp targets
    3. Team engagement based on Sales team and other teams’ feedback
    4. Any other indication that suggests quality of leads such as sales pipeline and engagement in technical training
    5. Sales team target achievement rate






    1. Excellent rapport building skills via phone, email and online chat
    2. Excellent communication skills in English is a must. Fluent Cantonese or Mandarin (oral/written) is required as second language
    3. Strong organizational skills, demonstrates analytical skills and business acumen
    4. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines.
    5. Ability to learn technical details of Rackspace’s product portfolio and apply that knowledge effectively to answer prospect/customer questions.  
    6. High achiever, able to achieve targets and strives to exceed expectations
    7. Ability to learn with own initiative and keen interest in the ICT industry
    8. Demonstrates strong motivation, a good self-starter and strong work ethics
    9. A strong team player
    10. Preferably commercial experience in a successful sales environment (ideally within a B2B sector)
    11. Demonstrates self-awareness and ability to take in and execute on feedback given
    12. Educated to degree level or equivalent
    13. Ability to provide FANATICAL support to customers, prospects, teammates, and fellow Rackers.
