    JOB TITLE: Cloud Sales Trainer IV


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:  Teaches Rackspace Sales Academy (RSA) classes on techniques of selling Cloud products and/or services for new and intermediate-level sales reps.  Delivers sales training and enablement classes for the various RSA programs and prepares, sales training materials, and documentation.  


    • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Excellent presentation, writing and technical skills as well as a deep understanding of company's solutions and application areas. Ability to translate complex technical topics into seamlessly consumable sales assets. In-depth knowledge of the Cloud Industry and Technology.  Excellent public speaking, editing, communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor sellers on all levels and be a recognized Subject Matter Expert on all things Rackspace.
    • JOB COMPLEXITY: 60% Conducts training classes on the techniques and motivational factors involved in selling Rackspace solutions and services.  20% Prepares training materials and documentation for RSA.  10% Works with different organizations in analyzing the performance of sales personnel so that additional training can be prescribed.  10% Works with sales management regarding new and updated products in order to ensure their inclusion in classes.
    • SUPERVISION: Operates under minimum supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment.



    • EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business, engineering, or computer science. Requires approximately 6 plus years’ experience in Cloud sales and/or training experience.
    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment.  May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.  Considerable levels of stress may occur at times.  No special physical demands required.
