    Overview & Responsibilities

    Rackspace is looking for an account-based marketing experienced Marketing Analyst to join our team. As a Marketing Analyst, you will work to support Marketing by providing data analysis, reporting and audience and targeting strategy. The ideal candidate is great at thinking critically, analytically and strategically, while bringing creativity and marketing domain experience to their work. In this role, you will extract insights from various data sets to present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders. Our Marketing Analysts measure marketing plan effectiveness, develop ideal customer profiles and audience target lists, identify areas where spend and productivity efficiencies can be gained in reporting, process and go-to-market opportunities. Analyzes marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between marketing actions and financial outcomes.     • Works with the business to determine data sources needed for reporting purposes and ensures queries return relevant data sets.
    • Responsible for reporting, analyzing, and making recommendations on omni-channel marketing initiatives and target audience profiles and lists.
    • Translates and synthesizes complex data concepts and outcomes to non-data Rackers
    • Prepares complex reports and presentations utilizing various marketing and sales data sets
    • Validates data integrity and hygiene
    • Configures reporting tools to run routine and custom reports
    • Troubleshoots and debugs system and/or data errors

    In this role you will:

    • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts and provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance
    • Gather actionable data from various sources to ensure consistent and continual optimization of marketing campaigns
    • Translate business requirements into data and analytics applications
    • Meet regularly with Marketing stakeholders to review performance and provide recommendations
    • Assemble and prepare historic sales, pipeline, and lead reports, as well as future projection data, by relevant market segment.
    • Support the analytic needs of the business by analyzing data using MarTech tools such as Google Analytics, Marketo, DoubleClick, Big Query, SalesForce.
    • Leverage 3rd party data service tools to enrich data sets, such as Dun & Bradstreet, RainKing, Discover Org, among others
    • Create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources and websites for presentations to senior management team.
    • Be a quantitative story-teller


    Basic Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or related field required.
    • 3+ years of related experience.
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to apply knowledge and best practices to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
    • Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
    • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing datasets, data requirements, data integrity rules, and data reporting.
    • Experience with statistical software such as R and Python as well as BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview and Google DataStudio
    • Advanced SQL knowledge and skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of data mining tools and database software packages. Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of market, customer, and competitor trends.
    • Advanced skills in tracking plan effectiveness.
    • Proficient in MarTech tools such as Google Analytics, DoubleClick, Marketo, Big Query, SalesForce.
    • Sufficient experience with 3rd party data enrichment sources
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. strong presentation skills. ability to apply knowledge and best practices to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
    • Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
    • Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
