    Overview & Responsibilities


    This is a full stack developer role working on the Customer Identity Platform's authentication and authorization service.  This position is ideally filled with a candidate that has a passion for web security standards and a desire to be constantly learning and staying ahead of the curve of new technologies, especially as they apply to authentication.  The candidate will support the entire application stack. This position also assists with operational support for our product, so Linux is a must. 




    • Contribute to the design and development of application features
    • Document, organize and prioritize, feature request and bug reports
    • Review, test, debug and comment on task deliverables
    • Investigate new technologies, tools and processes and make recommendations for adoption
    • Coordinate, communicate and provide technical support to other functional groups relating to web applications




    • Two years or more of applied experience coding in an object-oriented language.
    • Two years or more of applied experience working in a *NIX environment
    • Strong understanding of HTTP ReST based web application architecture.
    • Ability to identify customer needs, gather requirements, and execute with high independence.
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment that includes, working with changing needs and requirements.
    • Familiar with Agile software development techniques, particularly Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to succinctly present recommendations to stakeholders, the customer, and management.
    • Able to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment, including frequent interactions with customers, other engineers, and managers.



    • Creative approach to problem solving and exceptional analytical skills.
    • Experience with container technologies (Docker, LXC)
    • Experience with Jenkins or CircleCI 
    • Competence with multiple languages and technologies (Python, Javascript, Go, Java, etc).
    • Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
    • AWS expertise (EC2, ECS, S3,)
    • Ability to take on projects that require taking initiative and developing new expertise.




    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology related field required, plus 3 years of experience in software development, engineering, testing, or a related field.
    • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals gained through training, course work, or relevant experience. Experience may substitute for the degree requirement at a ratio of 3 years of experience for each year of education.
