    Overview & Responsibilities

    Help develop automation applications and features for scalable computing services at Rackspace 
    As a developer with the Rackspace DCX group you are given the opportunity to join a highly skilled development team. You will primarily be using Ruby and Java to maintain and develop automation functionality for Rackspace systems and data centers and will play a key role in the net device provisioning process.


    Must Have:
    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 
    - 1+ years of development experience in an object oriented language
    - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues
    - Experience with source code management systems such as Git
    - Experience with Agile Methodologies
    - Ability to collaborate professionally over multiple communication channels such as chat, video chat, and face to face
    - Communicate and explain technical problems to designers, product managers and other engineers equally well
    - Write clean, maintainable, documented code using best engineering practices in the industry (design patterns, TDD, peer review, CI, automated testing, etc.)
    - Interested in Data Centers, Networking, and Managed Cloud Computing
    Nice to Have:
    - Experience in building and maintaining RESTFUL APIs
    - Experience in data center automation
    - Ruby, Java, or Golang experience
    - Networking Experience: Routing, Switching, IPv4/IPv6
    - Experience in distributed systems
    - Understanding of functional design principles
    - Experience in the Hosting Industry
    - Testing Experience
    - UI and UX Design
